• - at least 13 hours of consulting time worth no more than $1,000 with a private consultant (see below for a list of possible consultants).  The hourly rate of the consultant must not exceed $75; otherwise the borrower is responsible for paying the balance.

- a $500 grant to pay for the cost of attending an eligible business education workshop, trade show, or conference.  This grant can also be used to purchase membership in a trade association or chamber.

• Management Assistance Program for Non-Borrowers:  Starting September 14th, Community Capital also offers grants to eligible and qualified businesses or groups of businesses in certain counties of Vermont through its USDA Rural Development RBEG program called the Management Assistance Program (MAP).  Individual businesses can apply for up to $2,500 and informal or formal groups or networks of businesses can apply for up to $5,000.

Approved List of Business Consultants: the following is a list of business consultants that Community Capital has used before for borrowers. Consultants that have been approved for use with the Management Assistance Program (MAP) Grant initiative funded by USDA RBEG are identified with a "MAP" in front of their name.  If a borrower or a MAP applicant has a consultant they wish to work with that is not currently on the approved list, Community Capital will request that the consultant respond to the very brief RFP issued for the MAP program.  Click here for the RFP.
